May I Introduce Myself?

Before Jesus says what He has to say, you’ll have an idea of what’s coming. He wants to avail Himself so much that He does not delay.

“And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write, ‘These things says the First and the Last, who was dead, and came to life: I know your works, tribulation, and poverty (but you are rich); and I know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.'” (Revelation 2:8-9)

The One “who was dead, and came to life” wanted to tell them: things are going to be really “dead” for you, but remember My story; it’s always worth the trouble.

Wait on Him.

It doesn’t Him long to make a point.

Perfect Stranger

They do not know Him.

They do not know that they need Him.

They meet Him and receive Him, and they become “Sons of God.”

Nothing could convince them otherwise; the Stranger is the One.

“The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.” (John 1:5)
