In Your Sadness He Will Find You

Jesus approached two men who were headed in the wrong direction.

Two sad men.

Sadness tends to lead us away from hope. Jesus approached them to remind them of the faithfulness of Scriptural prophecy because He knew this would turn them around.

They listened, and their eyes were opened. And they made their way to the place where hope would be renewed.

Listen to Him in your sadness and you will come around.

"That same day two of Jesus’ followers were walking to the village of Emmaus, seven miles out of Jerusalem. As they walked along they were talking about everything that had happened. Suddenly, Jesus himself came along and joined them and began walking beside them. But they didn’t know who he was, because God kept them from recognizing him. “You seem to be in a deep discussion about something,” he said. “What are you so concerned about?” They stopped short, sadness written across their faces. (Luke 24:13-17)

He Knows What You Need

Do you question whether your request is too small to capture God’s notice? Do you wonder whether He would consider minutiae what is important to you?

It may not be too small for God, but that it is too small for you. Always remember that the one who placed “eternity in their hearts” has constructed you for great things.

“Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (Matthew 7:9-11)
