What to Be Looking for

Hebrews 12: 15 "…looking carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God… lest there be any… profane person like Esau, who for one morsel of food sold his birthright. For you know that afterward, when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected, for he found no place for repentance, though he sought it diligently with tears."

Esau sought diligently, but he wanted the blessing, not repentance. He had no time for repentance. Give your time, energy, and prayers toward repentance. To seek blessing apart from repentance results in severe disappointment.

Let not your life be reduced to a tearful chase of what you would have been entitled to.

Women of Surprise

"Women received their loved ones back again from death. But others trusted God and were tortured, preferring to die rather than turn from God and be free. They placed their hope in the resurrection to a better life."                                                                                             (Hebrews 11:35)

But others!

These are all women who received from God, but not all received the same thing.

Never compare your blessing with someone else's.

Try as you may, there is just no means of measuring. When the time arrives that you can measure the love of God, then you can go on and compare blessings with others.
